Vulcan GMS has a long history of being a high quality manufacturing partner. As an ISO certified company focused on lean manufacturing and 6s techniques, we continue to invent new manufacturing solutions for our customers.
Many of our customers know us for our specialty manufacturing of lead, tungsten, molybdenum, tin, bismuth and plastics. However, there have been many changes in the last years. In addition to our traditional materials, Vulcan is now proud to offer more materials such as aluminum, copper, carbon steel, stainless steel, brass and others.
As we continue to expand and increase our offerings, it is clear to us that our customers need help with engineering. Many companies simply do not have enough resources to handle the engineering needs in front of them. Vulcan is proud to announce that we now offer contract engineering services.
Vulcan uses SolidWorks 2014 and we can supply our customers with models and drawings of components or assemblies. With more than 35 years of manufacturing experience, we can offer a unique point of view from concept to prototyping and into production. This means we can provide realistic and accurate design and tolerance reviews for products based on the best method to make these parts and assemblies.
How many times have you had to get a design complete but didn’t have the time and resources to optimize it for production? Are you paying for tolerances you do not need? Are you now out of time and have to deal with optimizing a design for production? We can help you with this effort.
Vulcan’s head of engineering who oversees these efforts has almost 30 years of experience. He also worked at Harley-Davidson for 15 years and was part of the development of the Trike.
We have the experience to design castings, transition from machined solids into castings, fabrications, machined parts and much more. With our in-house 3D prototyping capabilities, we can also handle your design and provide you with 3D samples or gauges. Vulcan GMS can also then take this design and move it directly into production while handling your contract manufacturing needs.
