Vulcan Gives Back

Vulcan recently held its third annual bowling tournament with all donations and funds raised going to the Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin. Vulcan had a great turnout for the event and is looking forward to next year’s fundraiser.

In the photo, Chuck Yanke (Vulcan GMS CEO), Daniel Mercado (Plant Manager) and Renee Logee the Fund Development Manager from Southeast Wisconsin are seen together after the donations were provided. These funds stay in the community and help those closest to us making a connection to those locally in need.

On the same day Vulcan provided the donation to the Autism Society and shared with the local community through our sponsorship of the U.S. Olympic Luge team. Vulcan GMS has been a proud sponsor of the luge team for more than 20 years.

Each summer, members of the U.S. team to Milwaukee join Vulcan staff members for a lunch at one of our company’s facilities. Together, we also make some local visits. This year, Vulcan brought the team members to Horace Mann Elementary School in West Allis, Wis., and Bruce-Guadalupe Middle School in Milwaukee where they gave presentations to the children about the sport, training and equipment. This was a rare experience for local children to get up close to Olympic team members in this type of setting.

Vulcan continues to support local charities, clubs and teams in Southeastern Wisconsin as well as the U.S. Olympic luge team. From our beginning, we have been involved in the community to make a difference.
